Pet Format is a school for professional dog trainers which is approved by A.P.N.E.C. (the Italian Association for Dog Trainers) and by CSEN (the Italian Club for Sports and Education) – CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee).

Pet Format exists today thanks to Aldo La Spina, expert dog behavior counselor, A.P.B.C. member, President and Founder of Centro Cinofilo Europeo Amatorial Sport Association.

ORIENTATION AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING FOR DOG TRAINERS

GENERAL OBJECTIVES – The dog trainer

- Our courses are aimed to create the figure of the dog trainer. If demanded, our graduates will be registered in a list that the A.P.N.E.C, (www.apnec.org) is going to officially approve.

The obligation of educators to respect the ethical code and the scientific contents of our courses; the obligation to update, the issue of certifications recognized in Italy, give you all the warranties you need.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

The course provides theoretical knowledge and practices for dog training and education qualifications

- Students will receive all the necessary tools to understand the communication, the dog training, the owner teaching. All of this will potentiate their empathy.

Students will also be encouraged to be creative and to develop a critical analysis with books, techniques, ideas.

- Practice will be the focus of our classes. It will help to understand the theoretic part and deepen many other subjects. The teaching, the communication and the wellness for men and dogs are the base of the entire teaching - of cognitive type also. The ultimate goal is a serious and professional quality.

CONTENTS

The theoretical part includes scientific and bibliographic contents. All the courses will be held by top Italian and International instructors. Many are the subjects they will deal with, in particular those relating to: zoo-anthropological communication, applied ethology, learning, stress, mental activation, basic commands and intra- and interspecies socialization.

DISTINCTIVE FEATURES

- Our training program will prepare the students at the top

- Our students learn to instruct the dog owner and train his dog. They are provided with all the necessary tools to work on the man-dog relationship, which is the heart of many behavior problems. About 50% of our lessons deals with practice at various indoor/outdoor facilities in the area of Milan. We offer the unique chance to practice with dogs and owners who already are clients of some professional trainers.

- Our students can contact the School Council and the Headship to receive assistance and advice about rules, organization and counseling. If needed, the students will be provided with digital lessons contents..
